Letter to Spallumcheen Residents. With this letter, I am asking for your support and your trusted vote on Election Day, October 17th, 2026

The upcoming election is an important opportunity for residents of Spallumcheen to consider our community’s future .
RURAL vs URBAN
In 1982, I moved with my family from Germany to our farm, Rieger Farms, in Spallumcheen. Our family has been farming here since 1982. My wife, Regina, and I raised our two children on the farm, which was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for them, especially after coming from a big city. Both of our children graduated with honours from UBC and now have families of their own. We are proud grandparents of five grandchildren. Growing up on a farm can shape a person’s life in many ways. It teaches responsibility, respect, and the importance of good animal husbandry.Changing hats from Research Engineer to egg farmer was an exciting shift, but it was also incredibly rewarding to become part of such a beautiful and friendly farming community like Spallumcheen.

My Plan for the Next Four Years.Keep Taxes affordable:
2. Improve Spallumcheen's 232-km Road Network:
3. Revisit the Official Community Plan: I do NOT support High Density Development:
4. Build a Stronger Relationship with the City of Armstrong:That makes cooperation and long-term planning between Spallumcheen and Armstrong essential. Rather than planning individually, we should work together on issues where our communities share interests, including infrastructure, transportation, services and future growth.
5. Open and Transparent Government:Public council meetings will be videotaped. paragraph to your block, write your own text and edit me.
Together, we can preserve the character of our community and the rural way of life that make Spallumcheen special, while making thoughtful decisions about growth.
With a strong team I can make it happen. Please consider to vote for Mayor : RIEGER, GuenterCouncil: LANG, Steve TORRENS, Bev Van DEURSEN, Mark Please come out and vote.
